EDGE Certification Reviewer
Youssef Safadi specializes in energy feasibility studies and green building rating systems. He is a mechanical engineer by education holding two Master of Engineering degrees in Energy and Control and Applied Energy. He holds several accreditations such as Certified Energy Manager (from AEE), BREEAM AP, LEED AP, EDGE Expert, and EDGE Auditor. For the past 10 years, he has been involved in managing international green building projects and training a wide range of stakeholders from real-estate developers, engineers, architects, to bankers in sustainable practices, green buildings, and energy efficiency. Having worked for real-estate developers, consultants as well as contractors, Youssef has a multi-perspective view of the entire real-estate development process from start to finish.
Currently, Youssef is responsible for the EDGE certification reviews and developing training for EDGE Auditors and EDGE Experts at thinkstep. He has been also involved in developing technical content and giving energy related advice on thinkstep implementation projects.
