Sustainable Development Goals half day Workshop
Learn how use the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to assess your project or organisation’s impacts. This half day hands-on workshop will be run jointly with thinkstep and will teach you how to identify the most material SDGs to your project or organisation. You will hear from thinkstep, ISCA and Lendlease who will share their insights and outline how to lead the way in implementing the SDG’s though your organisation or project.
Learn a practical process to use the Sustainable Development Goals to assess the materiality of your project or organisation, and how to develop a sustainability or business plan to contribute to the SDGs.
About Our speakers:
Nicole Dimasi, Group Environmental Systems Manager at Lion, will share Lion’s four step approach to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how they connect them to their sustainability strategy and material issues. She will also explain how they plan to use the identified core SDGs as a focus for future activities, and a platform from which we can explore new ways to Create Shared Value.
Nicole Boyd, General Manager, Infrastructure Innovation at Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) will focus why Sustainable infrastructure is central to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Although infrastructure is only explicitly mentioned in Sustainable Development Goal 9, it underlies almost all of the other socio-economic goals.
Barbara Nebel, CEO of thinkstep Australasia will provide an introduction to the SDGs and will set a scene in a Australian context.
