Accelerating positive change for people and planet
Three-day conference in Sydney, from 16-18th October 2018
thinkstep Australasia supports the 2018 Infrastructure Sustainability Conference, held in Sydney, from 16-18th October.
Infrastructure is vital. We rely on it for access to clean & safe drinking water, for transport, connecting individuals, families & businesses and a prosperous economy.
By nature, infrastructure is long lived and resource intensive. Accordingly, it should be planned, designed, constructed and operated to meet the needs of communities without harming the planet. That’s why infrastructure sustainability matters and that’s why the conference will be very exciting.
Barbara Nebel, Managing Director of thinkstep in Australasia and Emily Townsend, thinkstep’s Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) will be speaking at the ISCA conference on the panel for “Materials, resources and the circular economy”. Barbara will also open the session on “Building better business cases”, which is closely linked to our core believe that sustainability delivers tangible business value.
The conference is based around current and forward-thinking industry themes, as identified by ISCA’s community of members. In breaking down the overarching conference theme, ‘Accelerating positive change for people and planet’, themes include an outside looking in approach to change management (change), social and the supply chain (people), the road to carbon neutrality, and also climate risk and resilience (planet).
